I've got some a grille surround that I'd like spraying up in satin black rather than standard blingy chrome. Can anyone recommend a cheap but good quality sprayer/bodyshop who take on small piece work.

Cheers

If it's satin black you may as well do it yourself as long as you take your time to do it right. Cost under a tenner.

Sorry I should have said, I'm in Leeds (Pudsey to be precise) but anywhere fairly local is ok.

Have considered doing it myself but I have absolutely no experience in prepping or spraying - anyone got any pointers for preparation, priming, spraying or product recommendations?

If you want Satin black I'd go for wrapping it in vinyl rather than painting it. The guy I usually use is only in Bingley and his prices are very good. His details are all at www.bbsgraphix.com

I'd Recommend a 3 stage paint process; etch primer, black base coat and 2k Satin clear coat, this should give an excellent finish with good resistance to flaking, chipping etc.
If you don’t fell up to doing the job yourself I can do it for the cost of the paint and a few beer tokens, I live in Wakefield so I’m not to far away, drop me a email < grifflm500@yahoo.co.uk > cheers Mark
