US cars have flat beam headlights. They don't dip one way or another. My advice would be take it somewhere else for its MOT.

I don't think you can put tape over them. Try asking on AACI or AVO to see if someone round your way knows a friendly tester.

I had a similar problems on this front years ago.

I got the advice that US cars have a flat beam, and this is meant to be OK for MOT. So I went back for the MOT and told the bloke to pass it. He showed me the beam patern through his alignment thingy and I had to agree it didn't look flat and was 'dipping' the wrong way.

He lent me some insulting tape and waited while I stuck it on and then passed it.

I now have a more US friendly MOT Garage.

Early shape 4th Gens were not imported in the Uk, so there are no Right hand dip lenses available. I got a mate to send some more lights over from the US and they did seem to have a faltter beam than the orignals.

Do the LS1/facelifted Camaros have RHD dipped lights?

I have been told that i can sort the dip out as they are flat beams, but the garage said that it is to far out to adjust. He said i should try & turn the lights upside down & that would work??? Its a 93 camaro so dont know what genaration this is? but could it be done?? sounds a bit weird to me?
cheers

I'd say he was pulling your ponker - if you turn your lights upside down you should be able to light up the tree tops nicely.
