Hi,

Just somthing I'm curious about. When I was younger, occasionally, my vision would go a bit funny and would make everything look smaller than it actually was. I.e the TV would look miles away, my arms would look four times longer than usual....but the vision was still perfectly clear.

Id forgotten that this used to happen but then it happened again last night. It went away quite quickly and its not uncomfortable in any way - is it something to be worried about?

Yup, I used to get that when I was younger, mostly when trying to get to sleep. Not a nice feeling. Not had it for a while now.

I don't think it's an eye thing, it's more of a metaphysical sense of one's self, when all of a sudden, you feel like you are an inch tall, but there isn't anything that you get the info from.

Yeah, me either until last night. Most peculiar. Still, at least I now know I'm not the only freak! wink

Well how odd!
Happens to me once every 6 moths or so - makes me feel very tall, and everything else tiny. Slight dizzy sensation too.
Then all back to normal...

And I also get autonomic hyperactivity every so often too. But thats another quirk of fate I guess.

I'm afraid you're turning into what we scientists call 'a freak of nature'. Bruce Banner famously had this condition - he noticed that things looked much smaller. The sad fact was that things remained precisely the same size, it was he who was getting larger.

Have you looked in the mirror while this is happening?

Are your trousers in shreds after such an event?

Are the military showing an unusual interest in you?

Sounds a tad like OCD.

An irrational obsession where the compulsion is to seek re-assurance.

Do you feel panicky when it happens too ?

Nope, calm as a sedated sloth.

Hmm...I'm 6ft 4, but being 6ft 4 isn't something new to me.
