Just got my Seiko back having had it taken from this

to this

I'm a big fan of bead blasted and brushed finished watches - especially for divers / tool watches.

Never had anything "modded" before - Well chuffed.

I'd be interested to know this aswell!

I'm thinking it might take the edge of my Orange Monster. It's a bit too shiny!

The bead blasting was £35 including £5 return recorded delivery postage.

The guy who did it was Michael Newby - michaelnewby@blueyonde.co.uk

Suspect that email domain needs correcting but at least spiders won't pick it up correctly!

Did you have to strip the watch first or did he do this for you too? Very tempted to get my monster done.

Looks ace, really suits it but cant help but wonder if it will still be water resistant or if it will mark up easily.

Not sure about PVD - drop Michael a line, but he can certainly blast a bracelet.

Don't see why the WR should be adversely affected, but I won't be going to serious depths with mine - about 10 feet should be plenty for the swimming pool. Time will tell, but I have several bead blasted watches & they seem very resistant to wear marks.

To be fair, after seeing this Im sorely tempted on buying a monster and doing this to it.
Out of interest what are these like for keeping time etc?

From what I remember - The Monsters take bit of time to settle, mine was gaining minutes a day to start with. They do settle down after a while, though, I'm not sure how long? Mine isn't worn daily, so I'm not sure how long it will take to settle.

I may have to drop him and Email to see about getting my Monster donebiggrin

Michael; can you only beadblast the case, or can you refinish the case too? Id be sorely tempted by a PVDd SKX007.....
