Qualifying on iPlayer?

Couldn't manage the 4am shift this morning but I thought "its OK I'll catch it on iPLayer" as the Aussie GP was on there I thought they'd do the same........ apparently not Can't see a repeat on the BBC schedule either. Have I simply missed it with no chance of seeing it again?

and will more than likely end up being repeated no end until tomorrow; after which the race will be repeated on there until Wednesday

I guess it's a rights thing. Same with other sports they cover. BTW, qualifying was 9am.

Found it on red button.... still a shameits not on iPlayer though. Er, I wouldn't have made the 9am shift either

I don't think it's a rights issue - they have the full race programme on iPlayer as well as making extensive use of video on the F1 section. I suspect there simply isn't a mechanism for putting red button content on iPlayer yet since the red button isn't really a channel(s) in itself. I don't recall other red button content ever being put up either.

I suppose it would be a bit odd for them to have the rights to show the race online but not qualifying. Qualifying is shown on normal TV so I don't think it's what you were saying either.

Of course, I was thinking about the practice sessions on the red button. I've since actually checked the iPlayer site and the Qualifying seems to be available.

I guess it hadn't been put up when the OP looked earlier. Originally found it through the schedule for BBC1 on the iPlayer site (make sure to switch it to daytime) but it also appears in the search.

They've only just put it on I think, I looked after I finished work at 12.30 and it wasn't there, but I managed to catch the red button replay just as it was q1, without seeing the positions!
