Sports Exhaust

V8 enhancments http://www.v8enhancements.co.uk/ (Clive F) does a rather cool manifold and decat pipe. From there, you can get any number of straight thru' exhausts out to the tail pipes - mine was put together by Leven Technology. None of this is particularly cheap though

should have also said that taking out the pre-cat is a good option - main cat as well, I guess - though you'll need a friendly MOT chappie if you do that to keep within the emmissions regs. Same can be said for the straight thu' (no back box) - in theory the sound level could be a but much for some people

the best way of starting out on this road is to remove your pre cats first, then if you are happy with the extra noise this gives, which isn`t a lot IMHO, decide where you want to go from there on.
If you keep your standard manifolds then you can take away the main catted y piece and replace it with an aftermarket y piece, the advantage of replacing the y piece is that come mot time you can revert back to your catted y pice then swap them over again .
If you still want to go the whole 9 yards then remove your main exhuast system and open up the silencer and replace the perforated pipes with 2 straight through pipes, hey presto one full decat system.
Of course you may prefer to keep the main cat, and just put straight through pipes in the silencer, its all a matter of personal taste really.

10 years ago I bought a JP stainless steel sports exhaust for my Griff 500.
It wasn't cheap, but was extremely well made. A doddle to fit. Very very light (compared to the standard system).
Sounds pretty good. (Not too loud)
But best of all, it's still under warranty (lifetime) and apart from a couple of scrapes where its contacted speed bumps, looks just like the day I bought it.
If mines anything to go buy its a quality piece of kit
I have to totally Agree with Andy on this It wasn't cheap, but was extremely well made. A doddle to fit. Very very light (compared to the standard system).

I brought a J&P Super Sports Exhaust 4 years ago and as Sheep Shagger says it is a quality piece of kit

I then decated totally using Cliffs cat replacement pipe which looks nice and shiny
