Cod loin

Can anyone tell me what is special about cod loin and why it is one of the most expensive fish. Is it a particular part of the cod or because it tends to be line caught rather than farmed or net caught?

I go fishing and my line cagught fish costs £100/lb at least

cod in general is very expensive at the moment. but loin portions come from the thick side of huge fillets obviously from massive cod. i suspect thats why!
