Well I done the deal and pick up the new Griff today, '92 Pre Cat 400 in Cooper Green, green hood with Tan leather.
Chassis is good as it was upon the ramps at the owners local dealers. She was there to look at a missfire which has been diagnosed as a duff camshaft (only replaced 6K miles ago) and it has a whining diff. Anyway bought her "as is" Can anybody give me a ballpark figure for the camshaft & diff work? and also is it worth upgrading the cam to a mild performance one? if so what is recomended.
I will post some pics later smile
I going to don my flameproffs here but I enjoyed driving back from Devon in this car than I did in my Sag.

welcome to the precat club..I hope the car has found a good home. I hear they need feeding often and constant exercise to stay healthy. biggrin

Enjoy

Had a stealth cam fitted to mine and must say makes the drive much smoother. Or maybe I drive it like a girl frown Richard at Dulfords fitted it and did some other engine work and the cost was very reasonable. Would recommend him for the work as he obviously knows the car.

Looks nice and clean Alan thumbup
If you remember last summer i went round to Mark Howes(TVR-loud) place to listen to his Chim 500, we diagnoised that as Camshaft, and i`m sure he had it done at Willams Street? Might be worth asking him how much he paid?
I have his mobile if you want it? Are you popping round tomorrow? I need to check out the latest...bodge...i mean repair on the Tamora Rad, i could do with some moral support in case it goes up in steam hehe

Sitting here waiting for the Malaysian GP to start.
It looks lovely and as said previously, very fresh and clean.
I do like the depth of colour in the Cooper Green.

After meeting up with T66ORA we were not sure it is Cooper Green. I have found out this moring it is in fact Rover British Racing Green (Metallic).
No respray that I can tell, if it is it's a damm good one.I have a comprehensive history file and the only paint work is to the drivers door (scratches.
I've just ordered from ACT a set of Gaz Gold's as the suspension is as soggy as a rice pudding smilenice job for next weekend.
Exhaust is a little quiet for me, so need to look at options for that.
ps Green is definitly the fastest smile
