Just been out and about and then parked the car up for 20 minutes. Drove it into the garage and noticed a small trail of water, looked back to where the car was parked and theres a little puddle.

Can't see where the waters coming from but seems tobe at the back of the engine maybe down low (unless its running along something).

Any idea what it could be ? Whats the normal culprit ? I have had the air conditioning on nearly all of the time, couldn't be that dropping some water could it ?

if it tastes like fresh water then it's most likely condensation from the aircon

if it tastes sweet then it's coolant

Ditto..

Regardless of taste!, check your pair of heater hoses routed tightly behind the R/H cylinder head. There's a very sharp casting edge that will chaffe through the hose protective elastic sock with the engine rocking movement. File the edge smooth with a file and zip-strip the hoses away from the cylnder head. Easily done. Plenty people here have had the hoses replaced after the coolant started leaking.

Thanks. Seems to have stopped and just seems to be water not coolant so I assume its from the air con.

Point noted about the other pipes, i'll check for that later.

This worried me too but it's almost certainly from the aircon smile

As already stated almost certainly the aircon, it removes the humidity from inside the car and dumps it on the floor under the car so say you drive around with the aircon on and the window open you will create a whole lot of water under the car
