Leaking Battery

Hi all

I wonder if anyone can help with this frustrating problem. I have a leak of battery fluid from the overflow/breather pipe at the top of the battery. This is cause white acid residue to form around the bottom of the battery shelf and chassis rails. I have taken this out once and cleaned everything up, but it has returned with avengance . The battery is showing +13.8V when driving and is usually kept on trickle with the accumate.

Is the battery in need of replacement or is there some other issueor fix I am not aware of?

Hi,

Sounds like it is getting worse as it lives on. Bound to die eventually.

I am no expert on batteries but better to be safe than sorry.

Replace it. Leaking batteries can't be good at all. IMHO of course.
