Do you prefer the old format or the new improved format.

Could you put an option in for 'Not arsed either way'?

I was just going to do a poll. It would be interesting to see the outcome.

Pretty much everything is covered in its own forum now?

Does that mean "The Lounge" will now become the unofficial "Dating, Relationships and Divorce Advice Forum"?

I've not really noticed much difference, except you're given a better idea of what the thread you're about to click into is about.

What can be bad about that? confused

I haven't got time to search through 5 sub-forums for anything interesting!

I liked the variety within the old forum. It's a lot of fecking about to dip in and out of all the new one's. What a shame.

If you enjoy a few car sections, general banter and miscellaneous topics you now have to click through up to 25-30 different sections which is annoying.

Is it a feature of accountants generally or just you two?

www.pistonheads.com/gassing/whatsnew.asp

Allows you to see the content of every forum you like

Needs to spend 30 seconds to be set up and after that you're good to go.

Just press "What's New" then.

Everything is all still there, all mixed together like it always was...

Yep, my thoughts too. It doesn't really make much difference especially as I have my favourite forums selected anyway.

I like it. I've bookmarked all the subforums I like, which was something I couldn't do before because there was so much stuff I had no interest in within the old P&P.

So every time I logged in, I would have to trawl the GG, P&P, check out my threads etc.

Now I can just look in two places. Great thumbup

Right now, a little disruption to my day setting up favourites, but overall, I can deal with it. It'll get more familiar as time passes. Change Happenz

and if you don't want it all mixed together, you can click on a column heading and sort your current recent list - which should load the servers a bit more - whoops, sorry for pointing that out Haymarket folks....

Don't worry about it, there's more important things to worry about than the ever so slight change to Pistonheads.

The whole point about the old board was that you could just pitch up and pick a topic with an interesting subject, then read/comment/take the p!ss as you saw fit.

Now you have to decide whether you want to try and find someone to ridicule someone for their taste in music, someone to congratulate on their recent conquest(s), or someone to advise on how to deal with their neighbour's dog/guinea pig/emo child.

Not good at all - roll it back.
