Does anyone have any experience of the digital dash from http://www.p1instruments.com/ ? I'm thinking of replacing the various temperamental gauges in my car with an all in one digital system. These seem seriously cheap but I'm a bit worried that they may be a bit shoddy; it's always hard to judge from a photo.

I have a Vapor fitted to my Phoenix and a friend has one in his Tiger. Both work fine, the only issue is that they are designed for Bikes so the rev counter reads to 12K. I bought mine from here http://www.trailtechproducts.co.uk/

Sorry for dragging up an old thread but I'm considering getting one of these. Jeff, how did you set up the speedo sensor?

Small supermagnet epoxied on one of the rear wheels and the sensor pointing at it. Tried the propshaft (2 magnets) but it never really worked.

Speed sensor can be on a drive shaft, back of a brake disc, pretty much anywhere you can get at.
If you are doing this prior to an IVA test then where you fit it will determine how you present for test.
If you fit to a driven part of the transmission the tester will prove the speedo function using the rollers.
If you fit to a non driven area such as a front wheel you will be required to provide tyre manufacturers data sheet for the rolling radius of the tyre fitted. From this you will provide your calculations for the number of pulses per mile. The tester will then ask you to show that the pulses number has been loaded to the dash.

I have fitted and IVA'd a number of these using both the above methods. I've had no issues with the units.
