- some people can't separate a Moderator's role with their opinion.
- they should be allowed to post as people as well as Moderators
- why do you need to know who is a Mod, so long as you are acting within the rules, you shouldn't need know/worry about it
- As for the gravitas, PH should be self moderating, why would you respect a Mod asking for a thread to be toned down, and not another poster?

1. Hornet rider summed it up perfectly- some people can't separate a Moderator's role with their opinion.

2. They shouldn't be mods then
We're impartial as the next person. We're not paid to be Mods, and certainly will happily have an opinion. You saying we shouldn't have an opinion if we are mods?

do we need mods then?
Because people don't respect it when others ask for it to be calmed down, instead they insult them.Every forum needs Mods to keep the peace, and remove offensive details (be they words or pictures!!)
I repeat the question, why the need to know who they are? It is obviously not the gravitas, as so many ignore requests/continue to post offensive details/etc...
