Hello all

I'm getting the Cerb ready for a day out at Chatsworth but want to get the wheels refurbed ready for the day and the summer in general.

I've had quotes from http://www.thewheelspecialist.co.uk/ in Nottingham and also http://www.pxwheels.com/ in Blackpool

I'm refurbing 18" Spiders but I also have a set of 17" Racelines that would benefit. I might also get the ones on the Lexus done too whilst I'm at it!

I just wondered if any of you had any experience of using either company and what the results/service was like? Reply off list if there are any negative comments.

If you have any other recommendations of wheel refurbishers in the Nottingham area, I'd be gratful of their contact details.

Just had a look on their website. They do some interesting paint effects.

I'll give them a call tomorrow to see what sort of rates they can quote

I had a set done by pxwheels too a few years ago, more than happy with the wheels and service, recommended. I believe they also do fancy finishes too if you ask, considered black chrome when they were toying with it but never followed it up.

What sort of cost have you been quoted? all 4 of mine could do with being done for the summer (one of the many things on my to-do list!)

Just had my track wheels done in Satin Black, so easy to home refurb. Look good i reckon.
£25 each Bournes in Birmingham.

I have used these on a number of occasions. Very good indeed. Tends to be a bit of a waiting list though, so depends on how quickly you need your wheels doing. Plus, Woburn might be a bit far for you to travel.

Finally settled on The Wheel Specialist in Nottingham. Not cheap but the wheels really are outstanding. I'm well chuffed and the car looked really nice in the sunshine at Chatsworth today. He does a 15% discount for TVRCC members too.
