Currently parked up in the Solent on their way home. Am wondering whether to pop over for a look tomorrow. Do we know exactly where it's anchored and where the best place would be to view from ashore?
Cheers

I don't know where it is, but if you can't find out where it is exactly, head up here,

you will see pretty much all of the Solent as you drive along the top of the Portsdown cliffs. There is a greasy spoon van on the roundabout into James Callaghan Way for a cuppa while you look for the large grey lump in the wet bit before the Isle of Wight. Then you can make tracks towards where it is lying.
You will see a turning on the low side (Skew Road) that goes to Portsdown Station - if you take that, there is a little rough parking spot close to the top where you can see the Solent area - parking is difficult along the top road except for the aforementioned cafe at the roundabout.

If you plan to see it from dry land, try Stokes Bay/Gosport. You will see it from there.
Alternatively go to Gun Wharf Quay in Portsmouth. It is a new shopping complex. Make your way to the marina part, and get yourself a boat trip for a tenner or a RIB trip for about £15.
I recommend the main boat trip as you are higher in the water, and can see a bit more on deck.
Well worth doing. Be quick though she is going Wednesday.
The carrier it is at C Anchorage, if that is of any help.
