Was just wondering why everyone chose the name they use on this forum.

I`ll start....
Been working full time and buying and renovating or building new houses on my days off for 12 years now and ended up under the knife having spinal surgery 2 and a 1/2 years ago so I was told to slow down by she who must be obeyed.
So naturally I did what every 40something male does and went out and bought loads of toys including cars and bikes.

So I`m mid life crisis jez

supported my local football team all my life, used to be a song that was sung at matches along the lines of well fans here, well fans there, well fans every f@cking where nananananaa...anyway you get the picture. Was looking for a username for the interweb a long number of years ago and for some reason song came to mind and I've stuck with username ever since on any forum/ service I sign up for.

I'm a Gas fitter. All the other forums I'm on I'm known as Monaro_Man... clearly that wouldn't work here! lol

Gary Paramore...ParamoreG....I clearly have no imagination and so many accounts on so many different websites, keeping the same boring name is the only way to remember!! how sad am I...I should use at least Pazza...my unimaginative nickname from my past life in rugby/cricket teams...but I cant be arsed to change my forum profile!

Back in 2000 I started in my old office job at Scottish Widows/Lloyds TSB as a temp. My mates started calling me "The Temp" and gave me the catchphrase "Don't ask me, I'm just a Temp!" and it kinda stuck.

Since then It's just got shortened to Tempy. There are also lots of variants such as 10p, Tampy and Tampon. I prefer Tempy Now I use it for gaming, forums, Xbox360 and everything else. Even though I haven't been a temp in over 8 years.

I even wanted to get T3 MPY as my Ro number plate, but it ain't available. Closet I've seen is T31 MPY which just don't quite cut the mustard.

when I was young I was quite tall and skinny so my older brother called me wormy, in later life this became wormus. He still calls me it now!

I'm toward the boring end of the spectrum sadly! For internet forums and such I've been kjmac for somewhile, as I'm Ken J. MacLeod.

Nowhere near as exciting as my online gaming name, which is PanzerGnome. A combination of a reference to a south-park episode and the fact that I used to we the Panzerfaust when playing Wolfenstein Enemy Territory. Sehr Gut!

The downside is that everyone thinks I'm German when gaming and starts babbling to me in their strange lotsoflongwordsgluedtogether language.

So Kevin hehe

how's the front end coming along?

I saw another one of those scrambling up a bank on Sunday morning, loads of other dead stuff too. Jon who was behind me even got some flick-up from my rear tyre - we think it was hedgehog (well that's what it tasted like anyway) biggrin

All showing a lack of imagination, my nickname is Harry, and Harry was taken, so "Harry" from "Oz" it is!

Many years ago when I were a lad, I was known for drinking copious amounts of Adnams Broadside when it was a lot more potent than it is today. A mate and I had a bit of a sesh one New Years Day and he promptly sired his first born that night. He was most impressed with his performance especially as he can't even remember going home. He has called me broadside boy ever since and I used to use it for passwords etc. When I tried to register on PH someone already had the name so I thought, I have a car with rear steer, bound to be going sideways so added the L.

Getting there! New bumper ready to pick up from the paint shop tomorrow

Looked like you had a nice sunday morning outing, and much more like bike weather than the previous cold morning thumbup Alex shared his view of the 4494 - have you seen it?. I'll be back out again after easter for sure

Wanting to be a little bit more imaginative this time I chose SimonV8ster as I had two V8's at the time and they were MY LIFE !!

Sadly both were sold and now back to just one............but it is a Monaro. biggrin
