Why so few Murcielagos for sale?
Discussion
There are only around 96 RHD Murcielagos in the UK (excluding LP640's) and typically, as with most cars of this type, there have been around 10% of those available for sale at any one time. However after a decent spurt of used availability it seems that the decent used Murcie's are being retained by their owners - as - frankly - where do you go after a Murcie without spending really big bucks?? - I know a number of fellow owners who are in a similar quandry. I think therfore that we might see the prices of Murcies going North - especially with cars like the Murcie SV being near £300k.

Right now, there are not many cars for sale, however towards teh back end of last year there were 5 cars of the age you describe all for around the £80K mark. I think some of them sold, others like the yellow amari car disappeared only to show up again a few months later at £72K!
I think you just have to be very patient cars are out there and will come up.

I like your self was looking for a Murci ..in the right colour and right money ...and at the time I looked at a few and believe me there are some old dogs out there... the market was quite buoyant and there was plenty to choose from with of course the mix of the good the poor and the ugly ... When I was looking the prices was £89999.00 for a 2002/2003 unfortunately the day I bought they all decided to drop there prices...lol sods but I must admit well chuffed with the Car I bought nice colour and spec Tubi Exhaust Paint Guard factory fitted Becker SatNav and Full Lamborghini Service history 20k miles...
There are some great cars but IMO the people who needed to sell have and as markets in general recover so the price should rise.
Just think after the SV's there'll be no more Murci's
Also the late Diablos are priced upto £100k this can only be good for the Murci's
Good Luck with your search....but if you want a good one then I would check out this forum and the LCUK for recommendations of people who really take car of there cars....
I am on the look out for a LP640 (still saving) so I might have a blue Murci

feel free to email me if anyone has one for sale £70K-80K mark
There is currently a light metallic blue one for sale on an 03 plate I believe in the Chesham area, within your price bracket. I would strongly advise against going near it with the proverbial barge pole.Tell us more.

I really shouldn't go into too much detail, although the vehicle does seem to be operating under some kind of multi-owner/user/taxi/hire policy and each 'user' seems to treat the poor Murci like some kind of automotive punch bag.... usually from cold too. That's not even mentioning the fact that it changes plates at least every month, and frankly the cheap, nasty illegally spaced thing that's on there at the moment I wouldn't even put on a battered Mercedes Mini Cab - which coincidentally enough is the sort of car that you might expect to see the 'users' driving.
No, I'm afraid definitely not one for the connoisseur.

Yep, that's the beauty. Hardly surprising it's a Cat D, probably wasn't before they got their mitts on it. I can't believe they're now even calling themselves F1 hire or whatever it is - probably some tax con, in fact thinking about it, it probably is. I bet their claiming all the VAT back on the fuel, etc. Absolute classic.
The one at Romans is owned by a guy on here. If I'm correct, he bought it about 18 months ago and paid a lot for it. At 100k he's lost a fair bit of cash in 18 months. 4 owners I believe.

Well, no b*gger wanted to buy mine (Arancio 05 Murci, £94,950, 13k miles, anthracite Hercules, mint, FLSH etc) - so its off the market now!
There are some right crappers (abused motors) about, IMO many people buy these cars but cant afford the proper upkeep/attention that they need to keep them A1.
