Hi chaps,

4 weeks into my v8v ownership and I realised that some of the buttons on the dash don't light up when you press them. They work, they just don't light up so I can't tell if they're on or off. The same goes for the battery on/off button in the boot.

I also noticed that the fuse 22 has been removed by the previous owner (it's the last fuse, closest to the brake lights, right?).

Would you advise that I slot a fuse back in for the work in case they refuse to do it? If so, I'm guessing I call the parts dept for a replacement fuse... or can i just get one in Halfords. If so, which type?

Thanks for any help! Car is a beauty!

they have no right to refuse just based on a fuse ...my dealer is the one that took the fuse out on my car, just before I test drove it smile

...so I wouldnt worry

My dealer took the fuse out too, so I guess they would find it hard to refute any claims..............

If you're that worried, then order another Fuse 22.

Put it into a higher rated fuse location, tuen on that particular switch and the fuse will blow

Put the blown fuse into fuse 22 slot, and replace the higher rated fuse in its original place

The result? Fuse 22 is present, but has blown. If they ever ask, all you do is say "must have just happened. Replace it for me, will you...!"

A regular blade fuse from Halford is fine...you'll find the voltage in the manual - I think it's yellow (20amp)
