I am contemplating fitting a kenlowe electric fan to replace the standard viscous unit. Apparently this will enhance all aspects of the engine (noise, efficiency and performance) My main concern would be noise improvement. Has anyone done this. Is it an easy job. Is it worthwhile. Where should I get it from?

Many thanks

After my experiences with one of their engine heaters, and their subsequent attitude, I would strongly advise anyone not to buy anything from Kenlowe if they can avoid it.

they are great. make a huge differnce in warm up time on the TD5 and much less noisey. I have onbly ever heard good things about their fans......maybe the pre-heaters leave something to be desired.

Go for it!

The kenlowe fan control units are very easy to fit and set up. I don't have any experience of their fanse, as my Landy came fitted with two fans (both labelled 'Ford', so I presume that they came from a scrap yard!), but only with a manual lucas switch for control. £35 and half an hour late I had the fans cutting in and out exaclty when I want.
14 years and many off road exscursions later the fan control unit gave in, which I think is pretty good advertisment for the longevity and quality of their fan based items, so I've replaced it with another.
