Some tool has kicked the wing mirror off a friends E39 M5. Anyone know any decent places to get a replacement, other than stealers?

It's specific to the M5, he needs the metal bracket inside the assembly.

Cheers.

How the hell have they done that? You need to remove the interior door car to get to 2 large bolts that hold it on. C'mon, he hit his garage wall didnt he? biggrin

Seriously, try something like http://www.fabdirect.com/ or another BMW breaker. If he isnt worried about going OEM you could try a patent part like http://www.bmstyling.co.uk/

A second hand one is very hard to come by.

Hardly!
It's parked on the street unfortunately.

Thanks for the info. Think he's on the blower to some breakers already.

Cheers.

Probably the same idiot that recently posted on the sat nav forum ridiculing BMW drivers, take a look. It's the post where the chap drove his car to the edge of a cliff. Foolish yes , but not all BMW drivers are like that.

I've found them good in the past, don't think they're the cheapest but seam to have a lot of stock and delivery was quick.

BM Mini Parts are worth a look, despite the name...
