I received a Tag Heuer Link in Decemeber as a gift from work (In the U.S.) - Now I was wanting to buy a Carrera, and am not a big fan of the Link, so was thinking of 'Part-exchanging'. I tried a couple of dealers in California when I was out there and the only one that would do it (for an extra $200) did not have the Carrera I wanted in stock and could not get one in time for me to make my flight back home. I have not found a dealer willing to help out here, and have tried the Tag shop in Westfield who ummmed and ahhhed but said no in the end - thats without stating an amount. Does anyone know of a dealer that might entertain such a part-exchange given I have not taken my watch out of the box and all the packaging and certificates are present?

Not sure who has a Carrera in stock but your best bet will be one of the independent dealers. The likes of www.watches.co.uk or some of the smaller dealers on Bond St may be interested in a deal. Obviously I would think it would be dependent on the model you had and its sale-ability if you know what I mean. If not you could always sell it then use the cash towards the watch you want.
