Almost two weeks and counting!

Hey all,
I finally took the plunge and bought a 2007 Gallardo Spyder late last month after around three years of begging, borrrowing and (not) stealing. I fell in love with the Gallardo when it was released in 03 and the Spyder was the decider! Admittedly, I was really cautious as I've never owned a supercar before and wasn't sure if it would be a good move. Well I need not have worried apart from my new behaviour pattern. I keep 'popping' into my garage just to look at it!
It's fascinating watching people's reactions to the car. All my mates are queuing up for lifts which they never needed or wanted before! For everyone who wants to take a pic (or pose as if it's theirs), there's the idiot that pretends to kick/punch/scratch it. The comments are good too, from a 6 year old that wanted to know what model it was so he could brag to his elder brother to the 18 year old in his mum's polo shouting "You shudda bought a Mer-see-lar-go" My reply: "You should have listened in Spanish class". Freud would have had a field day!
Still can't get that exhaust note out of my head, especially when I'm in a narrow street or tunnel. Truly awesome. I've compiled a photo diary for DP to have a gander.
Terrible weather to pick it up, cold and peeing down! I couldn't get the roof down due to the torrential rain but I did drop the rear screen!

After a bit of TLC (haven't waxed it yet though) the Giallo Midas was looking great!

Johnny 5 came for a spin with me.

Roof down.

Trip to Sainsbury's was a success!

Love the click-clack box.

Putting her to bed.

Hope everyone else is getting out and about in their cars.

luvverly looking car you've got there Witchie-poos...
Nice proper factory cover as well, does it keep the 'midas' monsters quiet though?
From my fevered eyeball's experiences, the triple-decker paints never stop blasting at the retina if there's so much as a glimmer of sunlight and the Giallo Midas isn't the least of them, not at all...
There's fluorescent, very-fluorescent, atomicbomb-fluorescent and then there's Giallo Midas -
my poor eyes are burning nursey, bring me that watery cream again please...

Theres always one moron who thinks hes cool. I never understand why people try to put you down. Anyway, lets be honest who had the last laugh to the 18 year old in his mum's polo shouting "You shudda bought a Mer-see-lar-go" My reply: "You should have listened in Spanish class". Freud would have had a field day!

Well done though on your purchase I hope you enjoy it! Oh and thank you for buying a manual
