Had the adjustable fuel regulator fitted today, and some more runs to overcome weak mixture at higher revs. Also timing double-checked.

Apparently she's happiest at 8deg static and 28deg...forgot the rest... redface but anyway, various timing settings tried.

She's now showing 230 at the fly and 194.5 at the wheels at 5380 rpm, with torque slightly improved at just over 250lbs at 4,000 rpm.

BUT she feels MUCH stronger on the road now, with the power staying there right the way up. Really feels proper quick. bounce

Next, will have injectors cleaned.

eta: Yes, I know there's not a lot of them, but I'm reliably informed that they're strong horses on that Dyno'. tongue out

Not bad at all Graham, hasn't yours got a Chim 4.0ltr? Didn't tvr rate those (at a much more honest) 240hp, 10 bhp off the mark isn't bad going at all after all these years.

I spoke to Dan (i think it was) at motoscope and i'm going to get my car on there once i've got my Dizzy set up ballpark correct-ish. I 'll be over the moon if i see 230hp tbh.

Aah..mystery solved. hehe

One of the guys did say that he'd had an inquiry from another Wedge owner.

Regards your timing:
Just get it basically set up (6-8 deg. static), and Richard will get it spot on for power at your session.

It's well worth the money, and you know your car is running safely, and probably better economy too.

I'd still like to see 200bhp at the wheels...nice round figure. Hence injector clean, and anything else not too dear I can think of.
It's the torque that makes the difference on the road though. smile

Your 390 might be a stormer !

The cars vary so much.

Do it ! biggrin

Yup it was me, i told them they came highly recommended by you and a bit of discount your way wouldn't go amiss hehe

Only problem with setting my timing is my original bob weight springs were fubared, so i'm not sure what the graph curve of centifugal advance versus engine rpm should look like. They didn't give you any details of your advance curve did they?

When you say static timing at 6-8 deg, how did they set it statically (which i take to mean engine off) as the Wedge doesn't have points dizzys?

Hmm. I believe he did use stroboscopic light and engine running.

I did find this page which might be of interest to you :
