x type external temp control

external temp the one on my x type seems to be stuck reading 53 any ideas, have looked for a sensor or whatever cant find anything. any ideas on cause, price for replacement etc appreciated

Its located in the front grille, just under the number plate I seem to remember, just remove the conector with ign off and re connect, see if that cures it. I did have a number of these that were giving faulty readings, and it wasnt the sesnor. I reprogrammed the A/C Module and this cured the fault. If you have the radio code to hand, you might want to try a ' hard reset' . ie disconnect the battery for approx 10 mins and then re-connect. But as with all electrics, you do need to fully diagnose the fault correctly before just fitting bits !! HTH.
