First toy was the supercharged TVR. Was fun, maybe a little too much as I just had to have that TVR I found with the V8 stuffed in it. Spousal Unit said
"If your keeping both TVRs then I want new hardwood floors and new granite countertops though the whole house...END OF DISCUSSION." So if anybody close to Calgary Alberta Canada needs references for contractors who do hardwood or granite, just drop me a line. Just over a year ago I found another V8 Taimar and just had to get it but remembered the last purchase. So 2 days after this purchase I tell the Spousal Unit "Guess what I bought YOU????" Those last 2 TVRs have cost over 100,000 dollars in renovations on a 8 year old house. So toys = TVRs = renovations = happy Spousal Unit and smaller bank account but I know I will be tempted again when that special TVR gets in my sights. Oh, I have been warned that if another TVR appears in the driveway that the Spousal Unit is going to just write a cheque for the new Jag. that she has her eye on. Does anybody live near me that has some storage space for rent???????

Already have several another toys, one being a '90 300zx twin turbo that I'm in the process of 'refreshing' as it's been neglected since I've had TVRs. Awesome car for the money and great fun to drive, even with a slush box.
On the shortlist for yet another addition is another MkI Elise (I've already had 2) or maybe an Exige, but since I enjoy hillclimbing and sprinting so much I've got a real hankering after a single seater, maybe an old Formula Ford or even a nice bike powered Jedi!

Hang on a minute - second toy?! Outrageous, lol!
I love kit's/specials - the experience is not to dissimilar to TVR ownership as they're generally parts raids on other manufacturers and of course there's always something to fix (albeit usually a lot cheaper than a TVR).
Loved my cobra but there's too many around now for my liking and mostly bling monsters that bear no relation to the legend. The Noble P4 replica was a total experience - like being in a gold fish bowl both literally (LM Classic conversation "For chrissakes turn the aircon on" "It IS on!!") and with crowds of people staring in wherever you stopped. I actually had a guy in front of me get out of his car at a red light, start taking pictures and all the while the lights cycled through green and back to red, whilst the cars behinds me were reinterpreting the intro to "Fanfare for the Common man"!! Madness. Yes cossie turbo was a strange engine choice but it was well worked and with 2 bar up it's kilt f*** me did it go!!!

Very under-rated IMO. I road-tested a SWB one a few weeks back and although it was a bit of a pup (strong engine, but tired suspension, bushes brakes interior, and spat fuel at you), I reckon it could be the basis for a serious trackcar with a few quid spent in the right places. I think the piece should be in PPC next month.

Sod it. Sitting around at home on holiday with little to do other than surf ebay is dangerous. Just bought myself a yellow Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo for £500. Looks almost perfect apart from the clutch is slipping. Amazing.
Good work. Sort the clutch, wang up the boost and thrash it til it pops.
