I've got tickets to see Spinal Tap at the Wembley Arena in June, woo !!!

Calling on the local knowledge of London PHers, I'm coming down the M1 ... whats the best way to get there ? (its on a Tuesday night) I'm thinking driving down the M1 and coming off at Stanmore, leaving the car there and catching some blue coloured tube line from Stanmore to Wembley Park, then walking the last bit.

Flaws in my plan ? Better way of doing it ? Will the tube still be operating at (say) 11pm to 12pm ish ? (you can tell I don't go to London often smile)

Cheers all !

I hear a load of guinea pigs are going so you could catch a lift with them.

well it took SWMBOs work collegue 7 hours to get there from Reading (M25 was shut)on Friday last - she did see the last 40 mins of the show frown

So, I would recommend public transport for the last leg - say park in Uxbridge and use the tube ..

Last time I went to Wembley Arena, which is a few years ago now, I drove there. I paid about 5 or 10 quid to park just outside and it was fine. There was no problems with traffic, either getting there or leaving. If I was going again I'd do the same.

Park at Stanmore is the way to go. Don't park in the station car park though as a lot of people do that and it can take half and hour to get out. Shove Dennis lane in your sat nav and park in one of the side roads there walk along London Road and the station is there. Watch the parking though, and read the time boards, I think it's free after 6.30. Trains usually run until after the gig has finished, but look on the Transport For London website and check
