At 27mph. In Chippenham......

In a queue of 7 cars. Which one did he pick to take a reading off?

The low, wide, loud sports car. Shock......

OB2 laser alert didn't go off though.

I wonder why the car they lasered was the car that could probably out-handle and out-brake the others in the line. Strange decision - was it based on a desire for safety?

And had just passed it's MOT 5 minutes before. The shed in front of me was not roadworthy. No question.

But it's loud and obvious. A no brainer really.

That, or he was playing laser snooker, and needed a red.

In my experience, Reds are two a penny....its when youre on a run and youre looking for the black one.

Seriously though, i cant comment on what was in front/behind you or the reasons but i know for a fact that Trafpols are Petrolheads and any nice car would ceretainly make me look, whether or not i was holding a Laser or a Doughnut.

I am assuming you were doing 27 in a 30? in which case how did the police officer "form an opinion" that you were exceeding the speed limit? AFAIK they are not allowed to randomly target people under the ACPO guidelines (i think...)

Maybe a big off would have been in order

I've got no problem with being zapped. It wasn't a bad place to be checking speed (built up area with a bit of greenery that kiddies could be playing on) and the guy was very visable (I clocked him long before he saw me).

It's just that in a line of traffic doing the same speed, he picked the car in the middle, rather than the one in front.

The poor bugger did look really, really bored though.....
