Removing glue from leather and fibreglass?
Discussion
I've taken my transmission tunnel off the car to re-stick the leather covering. The structure of it is fibreglass.
Because it has been stuck down several times it seems, and not altogether successfully, there is a build up of both dry and sticky glue that will obviously impede my own glueing.
I have begun scraping the worst off using a chisel but in parts this is chipping bits of fibreglass off.
Are there any solvents that will clean up this sticky glue without harming the fibreglass?
Also, I wish to take off the old glue from the leather prior to glueing again. Anything out there that won't damage it? Again, it is both sticky and dry.
Thanks.

Maybe AG Tar and Glue Remover will have some success.
If you buy some from Halfords, and it's not effective, they're pretty good about returning it.
A fairly small amount should give an indication if it's up to the task or not.
Not something I've ever come across, so can't advise beyond that.
