Not according to a dealer who offered me the same money I bought my car for 9 months ago, I am not prepared to sell it though.I am sure individuals on here that ave bought them recently probually do not agree either.
If someone is wanting to shift their car quick I`m sure it will be sold for a few grand less than the going rate..
Based on the clasified adverts my Sagaris has gone down a few grand in the last year, but thats with me putting on a good 6k miles.. I wish every car I bought had that little depreciation

A quick browse of the adverts on here tells me the average without the use of a calc seems to the mid 38k's I know, I know that all sags different. However, 6 months ago it was a very different story (and I'm happy to upload facts to support this claim), you could not buy a sag for less than 45k whereas 350 prices have pretty much held steady in the last 6 months.
I'm not trying to start a fight this is a forum and I'm entitled to my observations based on the what I see from the dealers, the net, PH Classifieds. I also understand that we are in recession and few people want to part with there tivs when they drive them onto the forecourt and get a valuation, but you can't deign that some models seem to be affected more than others.

Sorry but that's not true.I bought mine 12 months ago. At the time there were as many available as now and nearly all were priced at or just under £40k. I looked at 3, all with TVR dealers or specialists and none were more than £40k and all were mint with low mileage.
I tend to look at the classifieds pretty frequently and I too thought that Sag prices were coming down, but not dropping like a stone. It makes sense that they are given the current economic climate and as alternatives is a Sag the same age as a T350 really worth the c£15k premium ? - I think not, which is why I think they have further to drop.

I suppose the purchase of a performance car, well, any car for that matter, will always be a personal choice. Whereas a c£15k premium to one is too much to another it's justified. My choice was to pay what I believed to be a good price for the car I wanted, I could have paid more or less for colours and mileage that didn't excite me or indeed for a T350, which probably no less of a car but again didn't excite me.I have never bought a car as an investment, I'm just not that shrewd, so value depreciation is inevitable for me. Unfortunately the good cars didn't depreciate fast enough to save me more money before I bought. What happens to the market from now on is anyones guess!

A couple of dealers have offered me mid 30's for cash or would put it up for 38/39 SOR recently. Figures have been much the same for ~2 years now. Can't think of many cars that have kept their value this well in this economic climate. I'd guess if it wasn't for the recession Sag prices would actually be going up in value now. Not selling tho!
