Hi All,

Gone and booked myself onto a trackday at Brands next thursday... took the 205 out last night and it's pulling to the right under medium braking. I'm pretty sure it's the rear brakes that aren't working equally so does anyone have any recommendations for decent garages/people to take a look?

Will be checking a few things myself tonight (handbrake etc) but with only one pair of hands there's only so much I can do, and i'm so busy at the mo I'm likely just to bite the bullet and pay for someone else to sort it.

For reference: Car is a 205, with rear discs. Both calipers are new and were bled recently (i'll try to do this again tonight just in case) so i'm thinking that it may just be a blocked line/compensator.

Any recommendations appreciated... or if anyone has half an hr to spare tonight and would lend a hand in return for a couple of beers that would a massive help!

Cheers
Dave

Oh FFS, take the Chim wink

I've done Brands a couple of times in mine, and it is the perfect way to break yourself in biggrin

Chim is on standby for when I try to fix the pug and inevitably bugger it up and make it worse. How do you think it ended up with new calipers on in the first place! laugh

Seriously though, how was your chim round brands? I've done the Indy circuit before in a Cooper S and found it easier than I thought, but i'm not sure if it's a good first place to get used to rwd!

Dave, take the Chim - seriously.
Mine behaved very well round there, and we were doing well amongst a mixed field. It helped me understand where grip turns to slip, and i was really impressed with the speed that it could take the corners. Admittedly i did have a spin, but that was entirely down to driver error redface and taught me a great deal.

If you are not ready for it yet, and i would fully undertsand that, promise yourself you will do it once you have 1,500 Chim miles under your belt. I think it will help you appreciate the car's handling so much more.
