BTCC At Thruxton

How do I go about getting the VXR free tickets to this then? Fancy taking the old man and went a few years back to the first race of the season at Brands Hatch. Was about 30 Monaro's there back then but now it seems hardly anyone goes

Thruxton's not the best circuit and a hell of a long way away for me so only way I'll be back there is if its during a holiday period and I can do a few other things while I'm down there. Last time spent 3-4 days going round Bath, Bristol etc as well as the touring cars. Numbers have been dropping in recent years at these events though there was a good turnout for the last races of the season last year. Donnington will be the first one I make it along to, been there twice before for the races and on another occasion to visit the motor museum - well worth it if you've never been round. Cracking pub/restaurant in the village as well just as you enter near the airfield.

I went to the Brands one last weekend. Really good fun and met Dougie and his Bathurst S whilst there too.

I wont be at Thruxton as I'm off to watch Bath rugby on that Sat and then off to Boston (US) on the Sunday for 2 weeks.

Donington BTCC is day after our Shakey event and I'm stopping up there with the kids so will be hoping to get tickets for Donington on the Sunday! (Dougie...chum, buddy...).

I'll be there. But my mate is driving me in his RX8.

I think that Thruxton is a great circuit. If you pay a little extra for a grandstand seat you can see about 2/3 of the circuit and the chicane is right in front of you for lots of action.

Right, got my ticket and car pass in the post yesterday. i won't be meeting at solstice though as i'm picking the old man up from Bulford at around 10ish so will be turning up before 11.


So who's going then?
