No kids involved, so any country houses, museums or places of interest recommended? Preferably central England/Wales, up to Yorkshire and down to Somerset/M25

It's where I got married, and yes it is a wedding venue amongst other things. If you hire it out you get to stay overnight and the rooms are pretty amazing.
