I'm hoping that you can help me and provide a searchable source for the future.

I have so far have uncovered the following references for the various ricker switches in my 390SE (and other Wedges?):

Electric window - thought to be Rover SD1, no Rover or Lucas part number though.

Hazard - Lucas 33829A, TR7 TKC5088.

Rear fogs - Lucas 33931A, possibly TR7 UKC499.

Driving lights - possibly TR7 TKC5089.

Fan - Lucas 33939A.

Electric aerial - unknown.

Cigar lighter - unknown (but has smaller diameter than todays 'standard').

Now it appears that the SD1 used the same switches as the TR7 and that these are the source for the 390SE (and other Wedges?).

I could take my fashia to pieces again, but it's getting to be a real bugbear to push all the wiring back underneath

Does anyone have a list of the Lucas part numbers and a good source of new (?) switches (Rimmer Bros excepted ... have you seen their prices?), or know what the donor vehicle was? I've seen 'BMC' mentioned - which would suggest Rover/Triumph. I've also seen references to Lotus (Excel/Esprit).

And, yes I have trawled the 'Net

I made a similar post some time ago.
Got one response "Rimmer"
The other response was that the switches are very sturdy and if opened up can be cleaned and reassembled and will probably work ok.
As my fascia needed to come out for cosmetic reasons!
I had a go at the switches.
Getting the wiring plugs out was tough, but cleaning and reassembling the switches was easy. They all work very well now with a good positive feel.

My switches all work OK, I need a c/o switch (modified wiring on Hazard will do) and some of the switches have broken securing lugs. The cigar lighter was a write-off and modern ones are larger than the hole (OK, so I could open it out, but would prefer to get an 'original') - Streaky

What's an original? Your car has had more bits added and taken away than Cher!
