i have the chance to buy a 330ci, the seller says the tc light is on and the airbag light is on, can the bulbs be removed or is it a BMW technician job?

ps im always wary when a seller says its an easy fix

Id suggest that the lights are on to indicate a problem, they don't simply light up for sts and giggles and so you can turn them off again.

Pulling the bulb is not an 'easy fix' - it's not even a fix!

I'd suggest if the lights are on, you walk - theres plenty of them about!

Further to this, always query why, if a problem is an 'easy fix', the seller hasnt fixed it themselves!!

Get it to a dealer or independent and see why the computer has flagged a problem.

Airbag comes on if any of the cables are disturbed, eg. door cables removed or a seat removed. Did it have aftermarket audio perhaps?

Traction light could be anything from a wheel sensor to a complete failure of DSC/ABS system (mucho £££).

hehe Mate if you heard a fire alarm would you try and 'fix it' by taking the clapper out of the bell ?!

Seems to me the seller would have been a bit of a crook if he removed the bulbs to hide a problem...

It's been stuffed and repaired badly. They've chucked any old airbag in and not bothered to connect it properly and haven't put the wheel speed sensor(s) back on the wheel(s) that got torn off in the accident. Walk. No, run.
