Boot light...? Am I going mad?

Hi all,

Am I going mad or is there a light in the boot comes on when the lid is opened? I just don't remember after not having had my car for 3 months!

I've had a look around and can't see any light fitting, but I swear I used to be able to see what was in there at night without getting a torch out!?

There is...I think its clipped in just below the opener mechanism

Yep.....As Pete Says, it's just by the boot catch in the boot. Normally stays on once you've closed the boot and flattens your battery........ LOL.

Its there alright, and always stayed on and flattened my battery, so when i bought a new battery I took the executive decision to fix it, and took the bulb out.

i shut my mate in the boot to check if it stayed on!

he may well still be in there!

Top tip to check if it's going out... Put a mobile in there recording then watch it back

Yeah, I thought I remembered it being lit up... hmmm, I'll have to have a better look around and see what's wrong with it!

I took my bulb out, to prevent a flat battery ..... I wonder how many people have them left in ????

I did that on Thursday went to start the car to wash it and wouldnt even unlock! So on trickle charge and hoping that will be enough to fire her up for the club meet tomorrow lol.

It's all very well removing the bulb from the boot light, but if the boot is left open the number plate lights also stay on, well they did on my MK1 Tuscan.

Ok, I had a look... it's NOT there! There's not even a space where a bulb used to be. Nothing. Nada. Just carpet. Carpet everywhere.

But I'm sure it used to light up... and by the sounds of it, everyone else has a light in their boot. What's going on?!
