Sat navs - when placed on windscreen they (in all cars) are directly under the large demister vents - so how does the car heating affect the sat nav- does all that air blasting out have some negative affect ?- will italso loosen the suction ?

The sun on a hot day would heat the unit up more to be honest, so I dont feel this is an issue also if the suction or heat was they would tell you not to put it there .

(Ive done nav testing and never had a heat issue, ecept when baking them at 70-80 degrees C

Not in either of my cars they are not.
Still, the sucker thing seems to have a mind of its own anyway. Looking for a clamp instead, but there doesn't seem to be much around for the Road Angel Navigator 9000.
