Pics are still up on one of the other threads but not that one for some reason. I like it. A lot. The latest top C5 has recently broken the 8 min barrier at the Nurburgring so Chevy must be moving in the right direction! Not sure how many proper road cars can manage that sort of pace..

I don't know this time, FWD. Look at the rear license/reg plinth on this one. Looks like you can get a euro style plate on it... Who knows?....

its RWD
Left Hand Drive or Right Hand Drive.
We know is Rear Wheel Drive thanks.
Edited to add - FWD here is short for FourWheelDrift.

confusion rained and we all got a bit soggy.
True. According to his articles he has driven one once (think it was a late-model Stingray), and has based all his opinions on it from there.
Normally I like Clarkson, but I have to say that a 'Vette is not a Ferrari F355, neither is it an Aston Martin. It's not about plush interiors or snappy handling, it's about good old-fashioned muscle, which I ver much appreciate - you've got to be a 'proper' driver to handle it!
Love the Corvette. My favourite's the Callaway Twin-Turbo Sledgehammer, capable of 200mph!

the vette is the car!!the new 405 hp ZO6 got all the performance specs and it handles in the Super car territory pretty well! oh and is cheaper that the TVR and other well known brands!!!
let me give you some specs about the ZO6 and compared to others:
Vette ZO6 Aston MartinDB7 GT Ferrari 360
HP : 405HP 435HP 400HP
0-60 4.1sec 4.9 4.6
t-speed 171 185 183
Mpg 19/28 11/18 11/16
price$ US 50k 160k 149k
(motortrend specs)
for the price of the vette, outmatch the competitor , except top speed. and in economy the car surpass any TVR(no offence) and with the new ZO6 comming in the 05 the car will be the devil itself with the legendary 5.7 ls engine and 500 Hp, so For GT watch out!!!

I think the engine will be bumped up in displacement to about 6 litres - for both the LS2 (C6 Vette and the LS7 (Z06 version).
However, there are rumours which are very close to being true (judging from news from GM and interviews with Bob Lutz), of a 625bhp Twin Turbo version, in the region of $125k (same range as the Viper Competition Coupe). American cars rule!
