Well thanks to living in fking Scotland I have to work another bank holiday and I don't even get Easter Monday off.

My mother, somewhat more religious, was disgusted by this and (much to my amusement) rattled on about Jesus for some 4 or 5 minutes before I pointed out that the whole concept of Christianity was "just pretend" and "not to be taken seriously". But anyway I digress...

Just wondering how many other PHers are working the bank holiday and what they do for a living?

It just seems to be the bankers around here...

I'm 'working' today. I'm an IT contractor so I'm getting the money whilst I can.

I'm the only one in the office, Spotify is on, speakers are cranked, PSP is charging.

Money > Jesus for me I'm afraid hehe

Ahh the life of a contractor. "Who cares, who pays?". biggrin

Another day of pistonheads and drinking tea for me!

It never seems to dawn on people that the more time we have off doing nothing, the longer the recession will last and the quicker UK plc will go down the tubes. Everybody just wants time off and get paid for it as well. It won't work.

Sorry for being a realist.

Not as rosey as it used to be. I was 90 minutes from having no contract last week, I'd cleared my desk and everything. Luckily I got a renewal, but not for long.

PH is gonna be quiet today I think.

Well in my case I've had no work for about 10 months now and I'm waiting to be made redundant.

So sitting at home infront of the job pages instead of trying in vain to look productive in the hope of dodging a lay off is preferable.

So cheer up you miserable git. biggrin

I've got to work, financial MI reporting.

I do get a day off in lieu and a £250 bonus smile which eases the pain.

Whereas being present at work (presumably) and posting on PH is going to sort out the economy....

To be fair it's one of the better suggestions to sorting it out.

Not sure why anyone has a bank holiday tbh. It's quite funny watching all the panicking mothers buying Easter Eggs and hot cross buns when there's a good chance they don't know much about what's going on. Or, indeed, anything.

Why what is going on?

I thought the panic stricken Easter egg buying was Easter?

My boss has just handed me an Easter egg. Lol.

Same here, sat in an empty office in a near empty building.

Give me something good to listen to. Got Nirvana Unplugged on right now, but it's nearly over.

Yes I am sitting in my office. Bored. Getting paid £3 per hour as I shan't be selling anything today, and my basic is woefully wk.
