the pump sounds like a 'buzzing' noise and should come from the N/S rear wheel area, if that's not priming then it's probably your problem.
If it is then whip a plug out and check it's not fouled (oil or excess fuel will stop it firing) if it's flooded remove and clean all the plugs and if possible leave them out over night to dry the combustion chambers, refit plugs squirt a little Easy Start in the inlet and try again.
If this fails the only option is to check the basics, an engine needs 3 things to run air, fuel and a spark, you need to find which is not there.
It should have air regardless (unless there's no compresion, very unlikely)
Fuel, as it not any in the tank? is the fuel pump priming? are the injectors firing? are the injectors sticking or siezed?
Spark, is there a spark at the plugs? is the coil getting power ? is the ignition amp OK?
you'll have to go through all these and more untill you find the culprit,

I would go to striaght to the fuel pump and ECU relays.
These are located on the end of some flying / loose leads in the passenger foot well. The blue plug one is the fuel pump, the black plug the ECU.
Try removing them, swapping over giving them a shake etc and re-fitting they should both 'click' under your fingers when you turn the ignition on
If not then replace them both - any auto factors stock 'em
