This happens all the time doesn't it.

My BIL has just got his pilots licence and I'm dreading the day when we get an invitation to go flying.

Does he also drive a car? or cross the road?

If youre nervous, simply say no. Otherwise enjoy the flight. I have taken many friends and family up and once I talk them through exactly what everything does and the basic principles of flight they are fine.

If he tries to wind you up in anyway then he perhaps hasn't the maturity to be in the sky in the first place. Im sure he wont btw.

Relax and enjoy.

This in no way takes away the sad loss of the two in the Piper and the affect on their families, however statistically its still a safe form of transport / pastime.
