Has anyone actually resprayed a CV8, VXR or Ute? I've never seen a pic of one in the non standard colours.

I've seen a few dodgy GTO spray jobs. I'm wondering what colour would suit a Ro. I remember there was an old thread where we were posting photoshop colour changes which was a laugh, but has anyone ever seen or sprayed one another colour.

Tiger gold Monaro looks the dogs dangly bits, seen a couple in Street Commodores mag - the Aussies do love bright metallic colours. There was a chap on here I met at a couple of events who went to get his Monaro priced for a proper respray job - wasn't getting much change out of 4.5k and he was doing a fair bit of the initial prep himself iirc. Like everything in life there's a price then theres a price - guy up here I know thats a spray painter did his Astra MKIV in the Arden Blue and the finish was superb, much better than I'd seen previously on a resprayed car - he reckons he can do any car to same standard for 500 quid but I wonder if you'd get the same result from him if it wasnt his car..... End of the day it also depends how far you go - do you strip the entire car of all running gear, engine etc and have it soda blasted to strip everything from it down to the bare metal and then have the full shell prepped, painted, baked, painted, baked and so on 12x or more, undersealed ......could easily get into 5 figures+ or do you simply mask everything off, sand and fill exising paintwork then slap a couple of coats on top for a few hundred quid?

Exactly as above depends on what you want and how much you want to spend, ive had a rover 45 completely resprayed for £350 before but the quality of the job went with the s**t quality of the car, it was all done blue as before but didnt quite match so was only the outer panels that got done!

Mine minus the roof and boot was close to 3k... and thats with me stripping the car totally ready for them. Takes alot to prep the car properly, no overspray, runs or anything else on mine so cant complain... apart from the crap water based paints taking so long to go off now a days.
