Hello everyone,

Odd problem here. In very tight left corners, the handbrake-light comes on while driving, but only during the duration of the corner. This has become increasingly worse, with the light now coming on in even lighter corners (but always only left corners).

I checked the brake-fluid and it's around max, so it shouldn't be that. Brake power is ok too. Car was serviced last about 3000 miles ago, so shouldn't be a problem either.

Accoarding to the manual, brake light either comes on when the handbrake is tightened or if the brake fluid is low (but then it should stay on, right after turning the engine).

Any ideas? Help much appreciated!

They all do that, I wouldn't worry about it. Low fluid levels or mine also comes on if the pads are getting pretty worn.

That's interesting. I first noticed it last year when it came on in a really tight left corner (hairpin), though I then mistakenly took it for the oil-lamp. It was not until recently (about 2000 miles ago) when it started coming on more often, that I noticed it being the brake-lamp.

Since then, its occurance has increased and now it comes on even when going through round-abouts.

For the record, the car now has about 22000 miles - never had this problem before since the 4 year ownership so far.

Recommendation from Exige forum is to slightly overfill the fluid to prevent it.

Ditto, mine used to do exactly the same, after the fluid was topped up above the normal level it's never come on again since. I had a similar problem with the VX I owned before with a dodgy sensor, so might be that instead.
