Sag Winscreen Wipers

Hi - I hope someone can point me in the right direction.

My Sag's windscreen wipers seem to be permanently on in the "intermittent" position.

The column stalk appears fine and the wipers will go into the two wipe speeds, will wash wipe and will operate once when pushed down. In the off position the wipers simply operate as if on intermittent.

Any ideas as to how to solve the problem?

New stalk maybe? contacts could be FUBAR between the Off/Intposition. Easy to fit 10 minute job (assuming same as Tam) and part is off a Ford focus so plenty about and not too expensive, a second hand one is about £8 new about £25

Don't think it will be the stalk, but the intermitent knob, this has the timer built into it I think

Thanks for the ideas
Have removed the intermittent knob (connection within steering column)
To no avail.

Bit of a bummer as I fancied a hoon but the weather is a bit hit and miss so can't just remove the fuse (even if I new which one it was)

Will be booking in for a service on Tuesday anyway

It will be the 'park switch' - visible and connected to the wiper motor in the engine bay (might be hard to access in the Sagaris? On the T350/Tamora it is easy due to bonnet liftage. Doesn't cost much to replace.
