Would anyone in the South East be willing for me and my other half to come over and have a chat about monaros and have a look round one?

After quite a bit of discussion, me and her have descided a 'ro is top of the list for what car we get next, but we dont want to waste a random sellers or dealers time. Would be great to go see a monaro owned by someone who knows a thing or two about them, have a bit of a chin wag, have a look at boot space, and that sort of thing, without any pressure from a salesman or someone who just wants to sell their car

Is there anyone in the south east of england whod be willing to oblige? Closer to london the better, we live in middlesex

cheers

- peter

Shame... you just missed our Dyno Day at Wrecclesham.
Would have been plenty of cars to see.
Mine is in the fish tank (forum thing) at the mo so unfortunately cannot help. The car IS a good choice and the forum members here make that choice even better, someone here (apart from Ollie) will almost certainly bore you to death with how great their car is I`m sure.

Welcome to have a look at mine, I'm located near Stansted Airport.

I have an '04 CV8 5.7 (big boot)

Be aware that these cars are a modders dream - very easy to get big bhp gains and there is lots of choice of tuners and parts. Consequently I don't think you'll find that many that are standard any more. If you do fine one the temptation to mod it will probably be too much!

Mine has everything done except a Supercharger. It has:

Wortec focus pack re map (~430 bhp)
Cold air intake (CAI) mod
large body MAF
Headers, hi-flow cats and stainless exhaust
AP racing brakes front and rear
Lowered suspension
Polyurethane bushes
Harrop differential cover
Ripshifter
Kenwood stereo, replacement speakers + HD MP3 system

Just wanted to say what a wonderful forum this is. I bet there's no other within PH's that would give such a warm response. Jez and i were speaking to the Total Vauxhall photographer and he commented about what a great atmosphere there was amongst us. Better than he'd known before at any dyno day. Must be that we are all so happy with what we have. I know i am. Nice one guysthumbup Keep up the great work clap

Mel, chum, buddy...talking of Total Vauxhall, can you gimme a shout when the edition that has our SRR day in it is on sale? I've searched my local newsagents and none of the buggers seem to sell it (even though they do bmw, vw etc) so I may have to creep to you for your services!! smile

No worries sweetheart. As soon as our addition is out i will be buying us both a copy. You know, to put in the scrapbook of "things we did when we were young"

if Total Vauxhall are on their usual schedule expect around a 6 month delay before the rolling road day appears in it, unless they are short of some feature articles and decide to make a big thing of it. I've been to a number of events they've covered and 5-6 months after the event is fairly typical.

I think the latter is the case
