Is this the same for all cerbs. When travelling at normal speeds the steering seems well weighted and has good feel however when pushing harder on to over 100mph the front becomes very light and the steering does not encourage you to press on further!

The tyres are Toyo Proxes and has new GAZ adjustable shocks / springs lowered by about 25mm, the bushes are in good order. The tracking has also been laser aligned.

Is this the power steering being over helpful or is it front end lift?
I have looked underneath and do not have the small front splitter fitted at the front but would be really suprised if it made a big difference.

any ideas?

My first experience when driving the Cerb was also very light steering.

Turned out that my tyres had a pressure that was way too high. Cerb's are sensitive to that.

Measure the front chassis and it should be 140mm off the road.
Rear should be 150mm.
As recomended by many wise PH's who know these things.

Definitely fit a new splitter they help the cooling if nothing else but in my experience they do reduce front end lift

The reduction in front end lift from the little splitter must be down to reduced pressure in the engine bay IMO.

Mine has the splitter and is still light and twitchy but that may be down to other issues I intend to investigate as soon as I have time.

Don't forget to get the suspension geometry checked over by a TVR specialist, its no good using Kwik fit for these things.

They are very sensitive to geo and tyre pressures

I have a new stainlees one at home that someone on the TVRCC web site had made and he sent me one ready to fit.

I'll measure it up for you tomorrow.

But you should have a row of holes under the front valance where it screws on.

My new one is angled at 45 degrees, my old ali one was 30 degress, but the bonnet still tries to lift, so the 45 degree one should be better.

Just measured up my new one.

36 inches long.
4 inches wide
1/16 inch thick.

Or equivalent in metric.

Set at 45 degrees in the middle.

Not offered it up yet, but I think the holes have been moved to allow fresh fixing.

Hope this helps.

The front of mine feels fine at up to 130mph.

There must be something out with the geometry / tyre pressures on the OPs car.

Oh, and of course I know what mine feels like from track days.
