I know this has been covered quite a few times but here goes. Car wont start, tried charging the battery over night to no avail. Come to the conclusion that the battery is officially dead. Trying to replace but "current" battery is a 072 with 650A. Have read through past threads and people are using 069 /076. Is there a difference in batteries between 4.2 /4.5. Any advice appreciated.

According to my 'local battery stockist' the Cerb, Chim and Griff, inc S6 and V8, all use the same battery type which is an 069...hope this helps.

It is type 69. be careful though as not all type 69's are the same size. - So take old one in and measure it up against the new one. - I got one that was about an inch taller than the old one, and had to go back for a different brand.

Griffs and Chimaeras use a type 72... Many local battery stockists group the cars together to a similar not not exact spec. Can cause problems if these batteries are lower on crank ratings.
