I have about 10 35mm films that want to get in digital format.

I know snappy snaps et al will do this, but presume some online places are cheaper/better?

Who do people use / recommend?

thanks

OK, well I have the older version of this: http://www.warehouseexpress.com/product/default.as...

I tried it with colour negatives and it did a fair job, so might be worth a punt? Plus you can stick it on eBay aferwards...

That sounds like a lot! High Street printers will scan negs to print them anyway which is how they can give you a CD - it might be cheaper to ask for a set of prints and the CD....

sorry, mis-typed a 9 instead of 0 - think it was £10

confirmed

it is £9.99 for 36 film colour negs

qulaity is 72dpi and 1500 x 1000 so equivalent to roughly 1MB per picture (quote from snappy snaps)

That's better but still a con. If you walk in with a roll of film they will process it, auto-scan and then print from the digital files, all for a few quid so how they charge more for just a scan is a bit cheeky. We have a Kodak place in St Neots and he is a lot more flexable about stuff so try to negotiate, you have 10 rolls after all and things are a bit quiet on the High Street.... failing that, try another place smile
