Hi all, I bought a set of FK/Depo headlights for my coupe. I have been all over t'internet looking for some info. Apparently these lights are made for every market, ie UK, mainland Europe, USA, Japan etc. One light fits all, regardless of whether the vehicle is right or left hand drive.

There is (apparently) a lever of sorts which you set depending on whether your car is RHD or LHD and voila, the beam is aiming at the correct side of the road.

There is a sticker on each lamp unit showing a little line diagram of a lever, one way for RHD and the other for LHD. Sounds simple eh ?

Now, I cannot find anything on the light units that comes close to a lever, or any other mechanism for that matter, except the knurled knobs to fine tune the beam vertically and laterally.

I'm wondering if the mechanism is inside the units. I can't be a screw or anything as small as that, because it obviously needs to move all the insides and reflectors etc.

I am totally stumped by this; I needed to fit them, so I took a chance. Well it was a 50/50 chance that they would already be set for a RHD car. Yeah right ! They are set for LHD, and I suspect I'll have to remove the buggers to change them over. The beam spreads all over the right side of the road and when the car is facing a wall the beam pattern is stepped higher on the offside, which is how a LHD car would be.

Does anyone have these and how do I change them ? I'm seriously considering binning them and putting my stock lights back in.

Help please,

Les

ps they are projector on the dipped beam and reflector on the main beam, with angel eyes, they look great, except I daren't drive at night

Just to help, here is the sticker that "explains" how to change the beam.

Forget the top connector pic, that is from another car in another forum...

Thanks phelix, but there is nothing obvious there, I suspect I'm going to have to get into the internals frown
