Looking for a job in Quality or Projects!!

Bit of a leap of faith this, but I am currently on the job hunt and have been for some weeks due to circumstances not of my making! 
If anybody knows of somewhere looking for a QA or QC Engineer with project management experience I'd appreciate a nod in the right direction - willing to travel throughout the UK.
I'm subscribed with bundles of agencies but there's nothing better than knowing of a company looking for people 1st hand. Having said that, my worst dealings of bulls
tism came from a direct source - big company too who almost offered me the job at the first interview, then nothing! Most annoying. 
I have a couple of 'irons in the fire' (I hate cliches too - sorry) but nothing concrete as yet.
