which do i go for omega or Jaeger LeCoultre

i have been looking for months about which watch to buy, and i still can't decide and i wonder if any of you could offer some pros and cons for these 2 watches.
they are:
Omega Speedmaster Broad Arrow

You asked about the pros and cons of each, though some replies here just seem to say get this or that. Which wasn't exactly what you asked...
My opinion for what it's worth.
Both are great watches.
Design: The broad arrow is perhaps (to my eyes) a more appealing aesthetic design. The MC is lovely though.
Complication: If you want a GMT function why are you looking at the Omega in this form? If you don't, why are you looking at the MC with GMT?
Movement: Omega movement is as reliable and robust as it comes. It's not finished like the JLC though, not of the same quality. But it's still a great reliable and robust movement. Think Rover or Chevy V8. Not as refined as a ferrari but it does a great job in the right application.
The JLC is in a different league in movement quality. Think Ferrari V12 rather than Chevy V8. That being said, when will you be looking at it? You will be looking at the dial not the movement.
Are you buying with a view to selling in a few years? If so the Omega MAY be easier to shift.
Question: have you tried them both on? If not do so as if you don't you run the risk of it not looking right or appealing to you, great though it may look on paper or even on a stand in a window.
The best piece of advice is this: Buy the one you want that looks best on you and forget the rest. Just like a car!

thanks guys for all your advise....the trouble is there are to many watches to choose from i would also factor in the panerai but its a large watch and i don't have particular big wrists and hands....
as well as buying the watch that looks good there is also the other aspect that if i do want to sell in a few years what it may be worth......and which would retain the best value.......
i thought buying new cars was hard enough..... nothing like buying a watch..
i'm off today to try them all on and make a final decision i hope...if i don't soon i think my mrs will leave me as she is sick of going into watch shops...

I'd be inclined to go for this:
I've tried both, and whilst I freely admit to being a JLC nut I also own an Omega Speedy and every time I put it on I can't get over how well built it is. But, and it has been said above, the JLC is in a different class. That particular one is one I'm after.....you can get a really nice rubber strap for it as well to augment the leather.
Whichever, they are both nice watches but the JLC is without doubt the "better" watch.

well i went and tried a few on including a 40 mm Panerai (PAM 00282) which i have to say i really liked but i do still like the Omega Speedmaster Broad Arrow, i have yet to try the JLC as the jewelers was closed on monday so will have to try to go this week...i'm still undecided.......

Old School Mercedes - as in the above but with a step up in quality and in house bits.
I think the Rolls of the watch world would be your Lange's and Patek's - Ferrari's perhaps your Richard Mille's of this world.
Lambo maybe Franck Muller, Porsche = Rolex.
Just thought of these - perhpas an interesting game.
Tag Heuer - Renault.
Anyway - back on track - get the one that talks to you, sings to you.. when you've tried them all on.

I think the Omega is a better looking watch, having tried on a few JLC offerings, they are undoubtedly a class above. But this is expected. Bear in mind what you want to do with the watch, I am damn sure that if I had worn said JLC as my daily watch,it now would look nothing like the condition my Omega does.
